It Begins In Beauty

Butterflies, butterflies I want to know When it rains When it rains Where do you go
2.
The fog It is dying Still no means to an end I no longer feel like crying There is nothing left to mend I want nothing from you Just letting you know I'm a leper Among demons Mortality's all I'm shown In as much as I can pretend That I was ever known I want nothing from you Just letting you know
3.
Oh Ciara, my deara Where have you gone I wake up alone Comfort postponed Darken my door Don't continue to roam Oh Ciara, please come home Oh Ciara, my deara The lonely heart lies Telling me that You'll never come back Darken my door Don't continue to roam Oh Ciara, please come home Oh Ciara, my deara How could I leave My bed is cold I've no one to hold Darken my door Don't continue to roam Oh Ciara, please come home

Even Now 04:14
I wonder Could we ever be the same Ingest, redeem, and proclaim Speak in irrelevant tangents Yet still be acutely aware of The absurdity of it all Controlled Solely by desire Words, winds, fire Crying out loud Tears for all to see My skin needs your touch My soul needs your presence The sky came down In the evening And before It destroyed them It nurtured many colors Vagrants, vagabonds Winners losers Sinners, dilettantes Masquerading gently in Winter hopelessness The dreams I nurture Are all I have There is nothing left to cling to Even so I'm too desperate Too shy Too alive Too enthralled To every wholesome facet Of humanity Of humanity Even now Even now
5.
I've been sitting here so long I don't know why I won't even take the air Or see the sky You don't have to love me I already said goodbye Before you ever made up your mind How does it feel To leave a part of you to die Do your thoughts reach out Across the lonely night You don't have to love me I know I'll make it on my own I never really needed anyone In my heart I always feel The midnight sun And you're the one who said you'd keep me In a box where I belong You're no longer judge and jury Your hold over me is gone So please leave me to my own
6.
Time is not a concept I'm familiar with Time is not a concept I believe But what a curse it is to be a poet To see your worth And others never know it That's the way it's gotta be Don't fret. Don't cry. You will see the reason why. Oh children, never a poet be Deceive your feelings Unlearn and be free Cause sorrow's never leave you When you're sleeping And they'll all say you're wasting Your time dreaming That's the way it's gotta be

Follow my way I won’t lead you astray Follow my keys I will make you believe We went to Ontario Place Who has the prettiest face It never mattered to me But it did her She went down the slide on her own I pushed her down on her own I’m not the nurturing kind And I left her Gesticulations are masking your truth Social chameleon the same since your youth We went to Ontario Place Who has the prettiest face It never mattered to me But it did her She went down the slide all alone I pushed her down on her own I’m not the nurturing kind So I left her Behind
9.
If I said it in the morning Would your sleeping mind awake If I told you without warning Would that sweet wild temper break That the world is lost without you Though you never tell the truth And the lies you tell are seldom new You sculpt them til they suit Now the wall we built is stranded Perched on top the lark he sings Yeah the troubles here have landed The dream we clipped its wings When you walk away don’t stumble This house was never home Like a debt you kept me humble Memory insists I’m not alone

You Tell Me 04:29
Solemn uncertainty eloquently aware It would be so much easier if I just didn’t care The tiniest movements. My flow of awareness Shatters perception, which once was so fearless With the candles last flicker the dawn cast its spell Leaving only a distance. Their heaven my hell Before I could feel it the night showed me proof I was never a loner I am merely aloof “A line allows progress. A circle does not” In my web of desire, simplicity's caught My focus is love my path’s become clear Oh why is she there. While I’m over here? From the soul of this moment tomorrow is carved For years I was frozen. Emotions were starved With my childlike perception I’ll do all that I can Empathizing directly. Subverting demands There was nothing to stop me from screaming your name No ties there to bind me no liars remained A feeling suggested I let it all out So I whispered to no one “What’s this all about” “A line allows progress. A circle does not” In my web of desire, simplicity's caught My focus is love my path’s become clear Oh why is she there. While I’m over here?

You could never speak the truth Your feelings left you in your youth Man hands on misery to man She was born of your deceit She could not accept defeat You never had control Hey man, you ain’t got no soul Oh me oh my I shouldn’t cry Because I have no reason why They went away long ago This vision only we can share Our freedom now is their nightmare We have all we need to make it through paper hewn from twisted trees Cannot refresh your memories My soul will understand Hold my trembling hand We misbehave. You are a slave In life we’re born astride a grave I’m lost in your shimmering smile We misbehave. You are a slave In life we’re born astride a grave I’m lost in your shimmering smile

Until I Die 03:38
It takes so much just to trust in love and the realm of memory it doesn’t comfort me Until I die I will wade through all the lies So let me go It’s what you feel not what you know And the wind that blows through the trees lets me know We are more than our money and our time Though it’s hard to let go and to feel the flow Of rhythm song and rhyme So forget about the cost It’s lost And this stubborn melody Implores me believe Until I die I will wade through all the lies So let me go It’s what you feel not what you know
